GP 2010 Feature #4: Email Messaging Options
Posted on Thursday, May 27, 2010 Email within Microsoft Dynamics® GP 2010 gives you the flexibility when sending mass communications to your customers and vendors. It provides you with the option to create predefined messages which can be assigned at a document level, so that all customers/vendors get the same message for the selected document. Otherwise, the messages can also be assigned to an individual customer/vendor and document combination. You can even designate a ‘Reply to Address’ per message, so return messages from the customer or vendor can be directed to a specific user or group email address within the company. Now you have the message all ready to go, but the update changes at the last minute. You can change the message on the fly from the Receivables Entry Window, Sales Transaction Entry Window, and Purchase Order Entry window. You don’t need to back over the work you’ve already done, making last minute changes (which happen all too often) manageable. There is also a security setting that controls whether the message can be edited before being sent to ensure the message you want to go out will not be messed with.
The email functionality with in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 significantly streamlines your email communications and reduces message error.
